This is a guided 5 day trip across Scotland’s Great Glen Canoe Trail
with an experienced British Canoeing Advanced leader overseeing your safety and well-being
Starting at Fort William
You will be crossing Scotland from West Coast to East Coast via the Great Glen Canoe trail.
5 Days of open boat paddling
4 Nights of wild camping
Finishing at Inverness: 5 days later
We normally have some sorting of shuttles for those with cars ,if we haven’t done on day 1,
or a transfer to Inverness railway station for those who have travelled by train.
We will be meeting in Fort William on the morning of departure for 9am.
Car parking for week can be arranged or pick up can be arranged from the train station.
You will need little experience for this trip. The first day is spent on the Caledonian Canal which gives you time to master your boat and get coaching in efficient forward paddling and steering.
Each day you will find an improvement in your paddling skills as the trip progresses across the Great Glen.
Having a basic level of fitness is useful to allow you to both enjoy and finish the trail as planned.
Food: Due to different dietary requirements these days we leave you to be self sufficient food wise
there is opportunity days 2 & 3 to stock up with fresh supplies if you need.
We can provide stoves and cook ware, if needed.
We will be using the Great Glen canoe trail campsites.
You will need to bring your own two man tent, sleeping bags and mats. We do offer the hire of tents & mats. If you don’t wish to camp we can help you arrange alternative accommodation along the route but this will be at your own expense.
Minimum age 14 and must be accompanied by an adult.
A minimum group size of 4 is required for this trip to run.
The Maximum group size will be 8 persons on this trip.

Payments can be made in full or a deposit can be taken to secure place.
If deposit is paid, full outstanding must be settled 30 days before trip date
If minimum group numbers are not reached by 30 days before trip then full refunds will be given.
