Our River Severn  Adventure is a 125 mile canoe trail from Welshpool to Gloucester

With our 10 day trip you are under no pressure. You average 12 miles a day and have plenty of time to not only soak in the natural surroundings, but can put to shore and explore at will, from ancient churches to  hermit caves in the wilds or for ice creams and coffee along the water fronts of historic towns. You will be moving at a different pace to the rest of world as you make your way down the river with only the sun as your time keeper.

 

Cost is for two persons sharing a canoe and includes:

  • Hire of two person canoe for the trip
  • Paddles and buoyancy aids
  • Dry Barrels
  • Waterproof Maps
  • River Guide
  • Camping Guide
  • Full River Saftey Guide
  • British Waterways Licence to go though Locks ( saves so much time and effort otherwise you would be portaging)
  • Support: We will stay in contact with you during the week via text, updating you on any river level or weather issues that may arise and making sure your on track for your finish point or re calculate for you if need be
  • Safety: We also track your boat for extra Saftey so we know how your progressing or easy to track you down in an emergency
  • Free Parking for your vehicle can be arranged for the week or a pick up from  local train station.
  • Drop off: We will drop you off with your boat and equipment at start point,
  • Pick Up: Once you make your finish point we arrange pick up of yourselves, boat & equipment, to be returned to car

Take on a canoe trip challenge of a lifetime as you make your own adventures along the River Severn

 

At 125 miles from Welshpool to Gloucester, you will average at about 12 miles a day, as you take on the River Severn along the beautiful views & wild remote stretches where you will feel like a canoe trail blazer as you pass by, with our 10 day trip you can realy sit back relax and take it all in no rush no hurry plenty of time to bimble down stream stopping as you wish

 

Start & finish points: Its your Canoe trip or challenge  so we are flexible depending on ability and environmental conditions. We can easily modify the trip to suit and arrange a pick up any where along the River Severn  should you need.

 

Free Parking: For your vehicle can be arranged for the week or a pick up from a local train station.

 

River Severn along wooded banksDrop off: We will drop you off with your boat and equipment at your start point, making sure your fully briefed and provided with maps of the River Severn as a canoe trail for you and safety cards for your Journey, as well as dry barrels and dry Bags for your kit.

 

Support: We say its an Adventure but, we will stay in contact with you during the week via text, updating you on any river level or weather issues that may arise and making sure your on track for your finish point or re calculate for you if need be.

Wild Camping on the River Severn Accommodation: This is a self supported trip.  You can choose to aim for official campsites along the route, or if you’re a small group you can sometimes get away with wild camping along the river bank on a beach.
It is possible to glam camp and/or BB it along the way, however this can fix you to a schedule more making it more of a challenge in places

 

Pick Up: Once you have finished your adventure and have reached your finish point we arrange pick up of yourselves, boat & equipment, to be returned to Shrewsbury ( if that is what you require).
